Sephora Haul

So the VIB 15% off discount has come and passed and of course I managed to resist making any unnecessary purchases during the sale – YAY Cerine! But I of course decided a week or so later to go ahead and make a bunch of purchases anyways – BOO C’erine. I realized I ran out of toner as well as a face wash that would foam up with my clarisonic but wouldn’t get all up in my nostrils so that’s how I justified this order, but everything else just “accidentally” fell into my basket and bam with free shipping they just decided to join the party bus in getting to my house.

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser – This is an oldie but goodie. I love trying out new face washes but I always seem to come back to this one or the Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash. I prefer this one for summer but it does take a while to get used to the rotten, warm cucumber scent.

Murad Essential-C Toner – I honestly bought this randomly as a toner to keep at the boyfie’s place and I’ve grown to really like it. Since I ran out of toner at home I decided to play it safe this time and just get this. I’m always really on the fence about if I really need a toner or not especially because I follow my daily skincare routine pretty religiously but for some reason anytime I go for an extensive period of time without using one, I notice more irritation and breakouts. I also really like Thayer’s witch hazel in a few of the scents so that’s always an inexpensive option if you ever need one.

Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil – LOVE this. Cannot imagine my life without this. So we went on quite a few ski trips this past season and I either forgot to bring my balaclava or I didn’t think it was cold enough to wear it all the way up because I get really grossed out when my breath condensed on the fabric and gets really wet and cold… yes, even my own spit grosses me out. My cheeks and well the entire lower half of my face got super wind burned and I couldn’t apply anything without feeling an intense burn. I just mix 2-3 drops of this in with my face cream and apply it all over. This product literally fixed my skin in 3-4 days and even managed to save the skin on my hands (I wore breathable liner gloves one day – big mistake).

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream – This has become my nighttime moisturizer. I have dry skin and in both winter and summer seasons, I go through periods of having really flaky skin when I don’t moisturize enough to having that stretched out feeling when I try to properly exfoliate. This product again I bought to keep at the bf’s place and through using it over the past few months I’ve grown to really love it as well. This is ridiculously amazing on it’s own, but combined with the seaberry oil, my skin is the softest and glowy-est that it’s been for years.

All the other products were just random add ons last minute. Typical. I lost my Nars Amour blush and I knew it had to be at home somewhere or at the bf’s place but this has quickly become my favourite go to blush, I couldn’t imagine living through spring and summer without it, so I bought another one. I have since found it under a pile of readings so that kind of sucks. The Anastasia brow wiz I bought because I accidentally snapped my other one in half and even thought that one still works, it’s so short now I keep losing it in my cosmetic containers. The YSL faux cils shocking mascara, lipstick and the Tarte blush in tipsy were just kind of why-not purchases at this point so let’s not even go into that.

Here’s a shameless selca of me wearing the Nars Amour blush, Anastasia brow wiz pencil and the YSL shocking mascara. Everything’s a tad bit washed out and I’m wearing falsies on top of my natural lashes so I’m probably adding this photo in a pathetically vain effort to say look-how-glowy-my-skin-is or look-how-perfect-my-hairs-falling.

Hope all is well for you guys. Let me know what you bought recently either with or without the VIB discount & if there are any life changing products I need to try out.
